In Which I Give My Farewell Talk

The reality of it all is finally crashing down on me. I am going to be set apart in 2 Sundays from now. After that, I will have to live and abide by mission rules. Which kinda makes me wish we didn’t have a lot of leisure time from me being set apart to actually entering the MTC. There is going to be too much temptation.

I made it through today’s sacrament meeting. I had barely prepared a decent talk and everyone thought it was wonderful. The speakers were Kali Knudsen, Brother Brett Gardner, me, and the Bishop Knudsen added. There was a choir number between Kali and Bro. Gardner, and our special musical number. Brother Gardner left me with about 3 minutes to speak and somehow I filled around 27, maybe less.

I have a major support group behind me. There are all the people on the previous page mostly from my ward and then there was:

President Sears
Parisi’s
Howells’
Bro. Devereaux
Vasquez’s
Millers (again)=)
Will Hansen
Roger’s
Loessin’s
Grandparents

Lots of people love me and they support me. I’m grateful for them all. Will Hansen, my tall Tongan friend gave me a lei today and I wore it during my talk.

President Sears said that he brought someone that was contemplating serving a mission and my talk helped. He also asked if we could sing the same musical number at Stake Conference. “One Voice” I of course said yes.

GOOD, but long day.
