I am born, Elder McLaws, Marshalltown, Iowa, Walmart and Keith

It's just been a great Day!

I have "been born" and Elder McLaws of Arizona is my father. And I found out that Elder Aylesworth (the companion I served with yesterday) gave birth to him, in the same area that we are in now. MARSHALLTOWN, IOWA.

My companion has been serving for 10 1/2 months so I will most likely be with him as he completes his year mark. He is like so ecstatic to have me for a companion. He is tall, 6'4" or so guy. I just can't believe it.

Okay, I'll write bullet points or what happened today and maybe expound on the important parts because I am way past  missionary bed time.

  • Breakfast at mission home (Talbots)
  • small instruction meeting (find out new companion)
  • walk baggage to the stake center
  • meet Elder McLaws
  • pack luggage in car
  • go to mission office
  • Eat at Mongolian restaurant: Ho-hut

  • Travel with companion to Marshalltown
  • went to Walmart with English elders, talked with people, got food to last us
  • went to missionary house
  • came home, went over area book
  • went out to visit KEITH
  • talked to lots of people on the way
  • planned
  • got ready for sleep
  • gave a healing blessing to Elder McLaws

Okay--Elder Delgado is in OTTUMWA, IOWA. That is where Elder MCLAWS last served. Hermana Beasley's in Des Moines, and others are other places: strangest was Nebraska.

I'm not sure what it means exactly yet, but me and Elder MCLAWS are whitewashing Marshalltown. I think it's something to do with Elder McLaws has been here before and I haven't and it wasn't Elder McLaws' last area.

Best parts of the Day. Walmart-on our way to Keith's-and at Keith's.
  • Walmart-we were getting our food and Elder McLaws was a good example to me and was talking to everybody that he saw. He even started talking church related conversations with several people.
  • Wow-o-wow! We bumped into a lot of people on the way to Keith's. One couple that was repairing their fence. Two black people-they were to call preaching "The Word." And we bumped with a lady from South Carolina. She was Christian and she was really wonderful. I gave her a pass along card of the Book of Mormon and what was cool is she asked if she could pray with us and right there on the streets, she prayed with us. All mostly english.
  • And at Keith's, who is an old man or relatively old, who associates with trucks. We just talked with him, he got baptized in a different faith but I chose to share Joshua 24:15
    • "And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."
My companion is so selfless. He only thinks of others.

THE FIREFLYS!!!!
