Sabbath Day and Travelling Day to visit Bishop Stimpson
Domingo, 13 de julio, 2008, día 32, 9:53pm
QotD: “You guys aren’t Jehovah’s Witnesses, are you? Because we try to scare off all of them guys.” From a guy in a small town called LaMoille that was very inviting. So much so that I don’t think he would have cared what religion we were.
Sunday, can you believe it. I went to church today and two of our less actives came. Hermana Villalobos came and Alejandro Martinez also came. What was strange was that we sang the song in Spanish during Sacrament while all the rest sang in English.
Today was our traveling day. We went to four different cities that surround Marshalltown to see if Less-active members still live there and to see what we could do for them. We went to these cities, respectively—Albion, La Moille, Toldeo, and Tama.
In Albion we topped by the Bishop’s house to tell him some things and ask him some things. We got a lot of help from him. His name is Bishop Stinson and it seems like he cares for the welfare of the members at the church because he takes initiative to go.
In La Moille, we went to see someone who wasn’t home. We tracted and met this 29 year old named Zack. He let us in and then his family came in. The mother said that she wasn’t interested and that she is totally illegal aliens.
We stopped but quickly passed by Toledo because our referals weren’t home. In Tama we parked in a member’s driveway, and if we weren’t who we were, he would have been ticked off. Met the Less-active’s husband.
In Toledo, we dropped off the video.
Long day!
