Patrick Holmes hails us, lesson with Famiola and Juan, Maid-rite and girls, and Jorge and Bethany

QotD: "Mormons, come here--I need you!" "OK, we'll come soon." "I love you man." --Patrick Holmes, we thought he was a drunk guy but actually he was an awesome investigator from Cedar Rapids whose house was totaled but has seen God in his life and is willing to give the LDS church a try.

Long tracting day.

We had a good/GREAT lesson with Faviola and Juan. We taught them the Plan of Salvation and once again, they were really receptive. They wouldn't pray publicly, though-which was terrible because I shared personally how I felt about prayer. Faviola says she has no problems with our church and will be baptized if that is what the lord wants her to be. Juan was not the same. He needs to think about it. Hopefully the Spirit will touch their hearts.

Spoke with a Hispanic lady. After we gave her the FFIC card she thought it wasn't going to be FREE because Elder McLaws said "the only PRICE she would have to pay would be to call the number." Elder McLaws helped me teach the 1st Lesson more simply.

We went to Taylor's Maid-Rite again (the first time was on my CLICK day). Got some good shoulder beef and spread the GOOD NEWS as best we could. There was a pretty red-head. You know, outward beauty doesn't mean that much to me. She wasn't jaw dropping hot (there were other  jaw-drop hot girls there) but she was relatively pretty and she was way nice to us.

Jorge and Bethany moved to a different house. They are a crazy chaotic family just trying to live in harmony with the teachings of Christ. This house is like their rebirth/renewal. Their new place is a blessing.
